Linda Alexander: Biography Linda Alexander’s newest book, Reluctant Witness: Robert Taylor, Hollywood, & Communism, is a biography on Hollywood’s Golden Era movie star, Robert Taylor, expected out in May of 2008. Taylor starred in Camille with Greta Garbo, Waterloo Bridge with Vivien Leigh, and Quo Vadis with Deborah Kerr. His involvement in the 1940s hysteria over communism in Hollywood forever branded him the ultra-conservative movie star to “name names.” Linda’s book finally sets the record straight and shows how his life was forever grounded in his strong Nebraska roots. Linda has written 4 books—2 biographies and 2 novels of dark romantic suspense. A 1991 letter on psychological child abuse put her on the Oprah Show as a Featured Guest. For twenty years, she has freelanced for magazines such as Spotlight and Soap Opera Update, and newspapers including The Washington Times and Baton Rouge Advocate. She has interviewed actors Jim Varney, Robert Stack, Michael Zaslow, and her teenage heartthrob, Michael Cole, from 1970s “The Mod Squad;” also, singers Gary Puckett, Tiny Tim, and others. Terry Taylor, Robert Taylor’s son, said about Linda, “"If a book’s in the offing, [there’s] no better author to write it." An editor from a prominent publisher said, “I felt . . . I was sitting in on a Barbara Walters interview.” Linda speaks publicly on: Living Large With Lupus; Journaling To Heal Wounds; Bridging The Color Line; You Are Who You Say You Are: Online Imaging; writing, and, of course, Robert Taylor!
